Please find the answers to your questions here

It's good to have questions, but it's even better to have answers. If you have a question about Siemens appliance repairs, you can view our FAQ below which contains answers to commonly asked questions about Siemens appliance repairs. If you have a question that is not covered below, please contact our customer service department on 01450 2655 or via our online contact forms by clicking the link below.

Should I book a repair or can I resolve the issue on my own?

We always recommend to firstly check the Siemens appliance help and support page to identify the appliance's fault and check whether or not it can be resolved by following the self-help recommendations on this page. To view the appliance help and support page, please click the "get help and support" link below. Many faults can be easily resolved without the need to book an engineer visit.

If however the fault persists even though you have followed our self-help advice and the information in your instruction manual, we would then advise for you to book an engineer visit. If your appliance is under warranty and the fault is covered under the terms and conditions of this warranty, then your engineer visit will be free of charge. How much will it cost to repair my appliance?

If your appliance is under a Siemens manufacturing warranty and your fault is covered under the terms and conditions of this warranty, your repair will be free of charge. You can view the terms and conditions of the standard two year warranty by clicking here and the five year warranty by clicking here.

If your appliance is not under warranty or the fault is not covered under the terms and conditions of this warranty, the repair will be chargeable. For further information on repair prices, please click here.

Should I get my appliance repaired or buy a new one?

Depending on the fault and the age of your appliance, the engineers will do an analysis and recommend whether repair or replacement is more appropriate. In most cases, a repair will be all that's required, however there may be faults which either cannot be repaired or which are beyond economical repair.

If your appliance is under warranty and is determined to be irreparable due to a manufacturing or material fault, your appliance will be replaced free of charge. If your appliance is not under warranty and is determined to be irreparable due to a manufacturing or material fault, Siemens may offer assistance towards the cost of a new appliance through cashback or concession. The level of assistance offered will depend on the age of the appliance and the nature of the fault.

Where is the engineer coming from?

Siemens employs a team of trained and qualified engineers based around the country who can provide help and assistance for your Siemens appliances. When you book a repair either online or over the phone, Siemens customer service will send a locally based engineer directly to your home, who is employed and trained by Siemens.

In some areas of the UK, such as Northern Ireland, we may use an approved service partner where the repair process may vary, however a member of our Siemens customer service team will advise if this is applicable to you. If your repair is chargeable, the approved service partner will have their own repair charges, which they will advise you about before booking an engineer appointment.

Which spare parts are used to do the repair?

Siemens engineers only use original spare parts, not copies or second-hand spare parts. To ensure a successful repair in the quickest time possible, all appliance faults are analysed in advance by our technical team to ensure the engineer is equipped with the spare parts likely to be required to complete the repair.

What information is needed to book a repair?

There are two pieces of important information that you need to have available in order to book a repair for your appliance, which are both located on the rating plate found in various places depending on which appliance you have.

  • The model number (E-Nr) highlighted in red on the image shown on the right.
  • The four digit FD number highlighted in blue on the image shown on the right.

Ideally, you should also have the invoice to hand as it could contain important additional information about your appliance, such as the date of purchase which is required to check whether your appliance's fault is covered by warranty.
