Beyond functionality
The lights colour combination of steel blue and polar white shapes the design of Siemens appliances. The white light is functional, while the steel blue light introduces bright accents. Programme status and process-related information are displayed clearly and intelligently.

The start
A blank canvas, a pen and an idea. That’s how every design starts. Four dots connecting to form a square.
With fundamentals in our inspirations, sketching can open doors to new ideas; it allows us to explore different concepts, roughly evaluate them and confirm if a certain direction has potential.
Making it digital
VR is where designs start coming to life. With 3D data and CAD files, virtual reality allows us to have the first and more realistic interaction with the appliance. Opening doors, checking its inside, looking at designs from every angle – here, projects get more tangible, thanks to advanced technology.
Testing the concept
Prototypes are mainly created for us to try out a completely different design - and do it quickly. Needs little effort to build it, but it gives us the flexibility to play around with it: how does it feel, how can it be opened, how can it be loaded, etc. It allows us to see what the structure could be like. And in case we think it won’t work for you, it’s easy to discard it.
