Note:

  • Before cleaning the appliance, pull out the mains plug. Never immerse the appliance in water.
  • The appliance will rinse itself automatically if you switch it on when it is cold or switch it off after it has dispensed coffee.
  • If the appliance is cold when switched on or if it is switched off after dispensing coffee, it rinses automatically. The system is therefore self-cleaning.
  • If the appliance has not been used for a prolonged period of time (e.g. while you are on holiday), clean the entire appliance thoroughly, including the coffee outlet, water tank, milk system, brewing unit and trays.

Getting started:

  • Press to switch the appliance off.
  • Open the door of the brewing chamber.

Starting the cleaning process:

  • Remove the drip tray with the coffee dregs container.
  • Push the red lever upwards.

Cleaning the brewing unit:

Hold the brewing unit by the handly and carefully pull forwards and out.

Clean the brewing unit thoroughly under warm running water.

Cleaning the appliance interior:

  • Clean the appliance interior with a damp cloth and remove any coffee residues.
  • Leave the brwing unit and the appliance interior to dry.

Reinserting the brewing unit:

  • Hold the brewing unit by the handle.
  • Push the red lever upwards.
  • Position the brewing unit under the lever and slide it back as far as it will go. The lever will click back into place.

Reinserting the drip tray:

  • Insert the drip tray with the coffee dregs container.
  • Close the door. The door can only be closed if the brewing unit and drip tray are inserted correctly.

Note:

  • Allow the hot appliance parts to cool down before touching them.
  • Do not use washing up liquid.
  • Do not use cleaning agents containing vinegar or acids.
  • Do not clean in the dishwasher.
