Air filtration at its freshest
Find the right Siemens cooker hood filter for you.
Three odour filters, many advantages
Odour filters, used in recirculating hoods, contain activated carbon that removes those unpleasant smells and keeps the air in your kitchen fresh while cooking. Siemens offer three types of odour filters: a standard recirculation set (with standard activated carbon filter), a high-quality Clean Air Plus recirculation set and a particularly durable Long Life recirculation set. Most newer Siemens extractor hoods are compatible with all three filter types, so which one you choose is up to you. It all depends on what suits your lifestyle best.

FAQ
- Metal grease filters (also metal filters or grease filters) thoroughly clean the air of grease - both in recirculation and exhaust air systems.
- Fleece filters are simple grease filters that are only used in a few models. They need to be replaced regularly.
- If they are cleaned regularly, metal grease filters will last for many years
- Standard activated carbon filters usually have to be replaced every 6-12 months, the Clean Air Plus filters every 12-18 months.
- If they are regenerated regularly every 4 months in the oven at 200°C, long-life filters only need to be replaced after around 10 years.
The filter removal and installation process depends on the model you own. You can find detailed information on installing the metal grease filter in the user manual for your Siemens extractor hood. To change the odour filter, consult your user manual or check the instructions on the replacement filter packaging.
- You can clean metal grease filters once a month in the dishwasher at 65°C without dishes or by hand after soaking.
- Fleece filters, the Siemens Clean Air Plus, and standard activated carbon filters cannot be cleaned. These should be replaced after saturation.
- The Long Life Filter, on the other hand, can be regenerated every 4 months for 2 hours in the oven in hot air mode at 200°C.
